Local nocks are light, and chiefly on this account little business is passing in this market. We quote : Prime milliug, 2s 4J,d to 2o 5d : good to best feed. 2s 4d to 2s inferior to medium, 2s 2d. to 2s 3£d i>er bushel (siickß extra). Wheat.—Millers are ready buyers of prime velvet and velvet-ear, and an Tuscan has some inquiry from shippers there is a better tone in'th© market. Quotation : Canterbury, 3-3 d; North Island, 3|d. Lamb is in better demand. Canterbury, 5d : other than Canterbury, 4|d; Biver Plafce, 4£d. The beef. market is very dull, there being scarcely any demand. It is reported that River" Plate chilled beef has been stored and frozen. New Zealand, hinds 3£d, forss 2id.
