BIBLE CLASS SOCIAL. The senior and junior Bible classes of th- South Dunodin Presbyterian Church held their combined social in the Sunday School Mall last evening. The hall was tastefully decorated with evergreens and draped for the occasion. There was a very largo gathering of the young people, together with several of the office-bearers and church workers, present. In response to the invitation issued to the other Bible classes of the denomination, there was a splendid attendance of delegates. The proceedings, which were opened with devotional services, were of a most interesting and enthusiastic nature. The Rev. R. Fairnmid presided, and, in a few choice words, expressed his pleasure at seeing so many present, cordially welcoming the visiting delegates, and indulging the hope that all would thoroughly enjoy themselves. Mr MTvor, of the Caversham Bible class, responded on behalf of the delegates. At intervals between the games some excellent musical ami vocal items wore rendered by Misses Anderson, E. Morrison, N. Grant, and Messrs A. M'Call, and Keith Muir; recitations by Mieses Aitben, Frui.sh, and Blackie, and dialogues by members and friends of the senior and junior Bible classes. The accompaniments were played by Mrs M'Callum and the Misses Brownell and Morrison. A 'pleasant evening was brought to a close with hearty rounds of cheers to the promoters of the social and the contributors to the evening’s enjoyment, a verse of the National Anthem, and the Benediction.
