The Executive of the New Zealand Alliance have parsed a resolution placing on record their seneo of the irreparable loss the cause of temperance and National Prohibition has sustained through tho death of Mr Taylor; also their appreciation of the invaluable and unrivalled services which his courage, his enthusiasm, his high character, his eloquence, and his unflinching devotion to principles have rendered to the cause. The alliance extend their profound sympathy to tho widow and family, and express a hope that the people of New Zealand will he inspired by Mr Taylor’s example and by his dying message to be “ true to God and onr opportunity, and to make 19H our year of emancipation. ’ ’
The Executive of the United Temperance Reform Council last evening passed a resolution of sympathy with Mrs Taylor and family.
