The celebrations in honor of the anniversary of the proclamation of the Constitution -were marred by a great conflagration at Stamboul. Hundreds of houses have already been destroyed, and the fire is still burning with terrific intensity, owing to a violent north wind. The offices of the Ministry of War are threatened. The lire is believed to be due to criminals using petroleum. Shevkct Pasha, the. Minister of War, was injured during the conflagration. THE CITY IN FLAMES. TWO MILLION POUNDS' DAMAGE. 5,000 HOUSES DESTROYED. [Delayed in Transmission.] CONSTANTINOPLE, July 25. The tire started from several points simulLuneoufily. Two squarei miles have been devastated, 5,000 houses destroyed, and the damage is estimated at 2.000.000 sterling.
