THE BELL FLOWER WRECK
THE COOK SAFE. [Feb, Unitei? Press Association.] CHRIStThURCH, July 26. Donald Gordon, the miasing oook of the wreaked schooner Bell Flower, turned up this morning at Little River none the worse for his night's exposure, and came on to Christdrarch this afternoon. The Collector of Customs is hodling a preliminary inquiry at Lyttelkm. Mr E. S. Wilson, secretary of the Shipwreck Relief Society, wired to Christchuroh this morning to ascertain if the Bell Flower's survivors needed assistance. Later in the day he was advised by the Collector of Customs at ChristchuTch tK5| help was wanted, and after consultation with Mr C. W. Chamberlain and Captain Beaumont, Mr Wilson forwarded the sum of £25 for the benefit of the shipwrecked men.
