Timrns, aged 29, a single man, and a bricklayer by occupation, was killed by a team between Hastings and Napier on Saturday night. _ William Christian met with a bad accident in Kaitangata mine on the midnight shift early on 'Friday. He was engaged timbering, when a fall of stone caught him, inflicting painful cuts and bruises about the head, shoulders, and chest, and breaking two of his ribs. When he heard the fall coming he warned his mates, but was unable to get clear himself. He is making very satisfactory progress at the cottage hospit? „
