LATE SHIPPING.

ARRIVED.-July 24. Corintliic R.M.S., 12,231 tons. Halt, from Lyttclton. The (x>riiitliic arrived at the Heads this morning from Lyttelfcon, and on the flood tide came up and berthed at Port Chal-jji-ers to load produce. On Wednesday siio is to sail for the Bluff, Tiinani, Lyuelton, and Wellington. Manuka, s.s., is expected to leave the Bluff cither at 6 p.m. to-day or midnicht. ]f she jretfi away at 6 p.m. she will berth at Port to-morrow morning; if she docs not pet 9.way till niidniaht she wall (omo straight through and berth at Puiiodin early to-morrow afternoon. Flora,. s.s., is to leave O.'imaru a.bouf 2 a.m. to-morrow for Dunedin., if the weather moderates sufficiently. POWDER CUTTER SUNK. On Sunday morninc the smaller of the two powder cutters which are used to take explosives to and from ill p. powder magazine iv;is sunk at bur moorings in Can-v Ray. She had ar miantity of explosives aboard that had been transferred to her on Saturday afternoon from the. overseasteamer Orari. The cause of the mishap is attributed to the steamer Rakinrn. which has been moored at Carey Bay for seme months. The heavy wind is said to have caused the steamer to dracr or otherwise, damage her moorings, so T-h.'ii she swunc:' down on the cutter, which carries about six tons, but was not fully loaded. The cutter recently became the property of Captain Percy Moss, and has jast had a new dock put down and other repairs effected. After she had sunk, her mast, with the red flap that indicates explosives aboard, was sticking above the wcter. This appeal for help was by the Puakinra, which, when a squall hit her, swung out to the extreme limit of her damaged moorintrs and snapped off the cutter's protruding mast. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
