ST. MICHAELS CHURCH

The annual meeting of St. Michael's, Andeivon Hay, was hold in the schoolroom on Friday, and notwithstanding the wet weather there was a good attendance. The Rev. G. Fyncs, Clinton, occupied the chair, and gave an account of the church work for the past year. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Tiie following wereolccted to the vestry : Messrs F. Atchley (church officer and secretary), W. Kibe \trrafitirer), Dale, Downing, and 11. Mil lor. Votes of thanks we.-e accorded to the Ladies'- Guild. Sunday school teacbenc, choir, and choir-master (Mr A. Downing), and a special vote of thanks to Mr J. Melton for his work as secretary, treasurer, and chorister. After the business of tho evening was concluded, refreshments were, handed round bv the ladies. The choir sang a glee, and songs were contributed by Miss Hewitt, Messrs A. Downing, and W. Miller, Mrs Ellis acting as accompanist. A successful evening was concluded by a few dances, Mrs Ellis again presiding at piano.
