The Hon. D. Bud do informed ,i deputation from the Christchureh Fire Board that he would take the opinions of electrical experts on the question of the necessity for electrical installations being periodically inspected, and if the opinions uphold the necessity therefor ho would see what could lie done by introducing legislation giving fire boards' power to make periodical inspections and charge fees for the- sair-e. Personally, the Minister said, he was of the opinion that boards should have the power mentioned. One of the best of the Coronation festivities will undoubtedly be the parade at the Crystal Palace of 150,000 of the scholars attending the schools of the London County Council. They will perform a splendid series of physical exercises, and be entertained at the expense of the King. One private donor has given £3,000 to the entertainment fund.
