WEDNESDAY MATCH. —Wakari v. Kahuna.—
The death is announced at the age of sixty-nine of Senator Stephen Elkitis, who is the best known as the father of the lady who didn't marry a scion of the House of Savoy. The deceased Senator wau a millionaire coal owner and railway magnate, represented West Virginia since 1895 in the Senate, and served as War Secretary in President Harrison's Administration. So painful was his last illness that ho died literally of starvation, inasmuch as though sm rounded by every luxury that moncy could command he was not able to digest any food whatever before his death.
