"MARRYING FOR MONEY"
Miss Eugenic Adams, a youuj; lady of Washington city, has inherited ;i large sum of money under (lie will of an uncle who has just died in Germany, birt, according to tbo conditions of tho will, sho must bo married before she nan claim ber inheritance. Miss Adams accordingly inserted an advertisement in a local newspaper, stating the conditions of her uncle's will, and offering tho sain of £4O to the man who would marry her at once owl allow himself to bo divorced as soon as the advertiser secured her inheritance. The advertisement bad tbo efl'cct of drawing over 100 applicants for this siugular marriage to the offico of tho newspaper in order to bo put into communication with tho lady. The latter v. ill probably be embarrassed in making a selection out of so many. In ber advertisements Miss Adams said: " I do not want to marry, but I need my uncle's money. Can any man cam £4O easier than in the way I suggest ?"
