I trust that those responsible will do no such thing. What is a regatta got up tor? Is it got up for the benefit of the publicans, or to improve the physique of the race? Tho congregation of people is an argument for refusal, not fur granting. The result of these refusals' i.; always greater sobriety and greater enjovnient. —1 am, etc., G. B.
