The Cohuna land inquiry lias concluded. Dr .Meade stilted tliat. he spoke to the Closer Settlement Board about .Anderson's land, and the Board were willing to allow the hind to be bought through them. Counsel assisting the Commissioner who is conducting the inquiry claimed that Meade's action in the matter was most honorable, and his motives of the cleanest character. The. Judge who is acting as Conimitvioner will fiiiJiiVh a report later, but he stated that, there was no evidence to show that the Government did not get fair value for the land wherein Anderson was interested.
