Diver, was appointed to arrange to hare a representative, of the Centre at all meel- : iugs held in Otago under N T .Z.A.A.A. ; rules. I An application from A. R. Buchan for reinstatement as an amateur was considered, it being decided to forward the application to the N.Z.A.A.A- with a recommendation that it be granted as from February next. Mr V. M. Vv'hyte, secretary of the Civil Service If. and A.A. Club wrote in reference to a Tress report that Mi W. Rudkin had been appointed as ;. delegate from the club to the Centre, the writer stating that Messrs AV. AVil-l-'tt and L. Anderson were the club's delegates. The Secretary stated that a letter had been received signed by F. M. Wljyte advising the appointment of -Air W. Rudkin as a delegate from the Civil Service Club.—After discussion it was resolved that the secretary of the Centre forward to Mr AVhyte a copy of the letter received appointing Mr lludkin, and advise him that he or any of the club's officials would bo giveii an opportunity of inspecting the letter. The Suh-committee's recommendations re sports meeting at the north end trade were adopted. The ground will be officially opened on AVednnsday, January 24. The. programme will cotu sisfc of throe amateur events and \ boy scout race._ The services of a band are to be obtained for the opening of the track.
MrWillctt reported that the subcommittee set up to wait upon tho O.R.F.U. re a Kranfc towards the newtrack had been unable to wait upon the Union, and Messrs Sanderson, Barclay, and Divers were deputed to wait upon tho Union when convenient. The Caledonian Society of Otago advised that tho directors could not see their way to make a donation towards the track.
