A letter was received from Mr Wolf Harris in reply to the Society's letter of thanks for his munificent gift. He said: "It has given me great pleasure to be able to give it for such a good purpose, and I feel sure under the able management of your Committee tho institution is suro to prosper, and I hopo that some of your citizens will at some future date leave money to enable. you to enlargo it, as by what I hea? it has been up till now of very great benefit both to tho mothers and babies."
