AMUSEMENTS.

'f"£?~ FULLERS' PICTURES, /I^'-" There was a complete change of programme at the Princess Theatre last night, and a new wries of absorbing subjects was witnessed by an exceedingly largo audience. The Fullers' purchases of films have been go extensive that to keep the Fluff moving as it comes in, hi-weekly changes arc necessary in each of the centres whero the firm entertain. At pTO::ont even two charges a week do not suffice to balanco the importation, and for this reason the third change of subjects will take place at tho matinee to-morrow afternoon.' Be suro the changes are not to bo i tarred to a lower quality of film ; nothing j betkr than the last two series has ever ' been revealed in Duncdin. Ona might quote almost every one of tho thirteen subjects projected last night as an example of perfect photography, but suffice it to singlo out four which by general acclamation were tho best. ,' A Museum, of Sovereigns' proved a kind of caricature picture gallery of the reigning Kings of Europe. Tho hpadfij were ostensibly modelled from clay, with inconceivable- rapidity and the most (jrok'sque embellishments, but one would suspect that tho bizarre, effect is obtained by demolishing .the (brushed face and then running tho film backwards. Anyway, however achieved, it is a most diverting, clever illusion. ' Under X-rays ' disclosed in action that part of the human body vulgarly known as " Little Mary," an interesting if impolite revelation. * A Trip in a Balloon' gave tho audience a new conception of scenic values, tho town 1,500 metres (about a mile) below looking for. all the world like one of those antimacassars our grandmothers were so fond of mailing. Ono of tho most vivid as well as iunusing of tho other films was 'A Bobsleighing Competition,' revealing favorite ice pastimes. A mere chronicle of the remaining subjects must suffice, with .'in expression of regret that so fine a series .should have to- be withdrawn after to-night. They are: 'Views of Turin! ami Subiaeo' (scenic), 'Her Father's Pride ' (comedy - drama), "Up- to - date Servant' (humorous), 'The Law of tho West' (drama), 'Lady and the Burglar' (farce), ' Mugc;sy Becomes a Hero' (farce), •Cowboy's Chivalry' (melodrama), and ' Fools head as Footballer' (uproarious farce). Everyone should seize the last opportunity of seeing tho series. HAYWARDS' PICTURES. j Haywards' present programme of animated picture novelties will bo screened at tho Bums Hall for tho last time tonight. Amongst the headline, attractions are ' Yachting in Sydney,' ' The Flag of Company If,' and 'Angels of Luck.' To-morrow night there will bo a complete change. " ■ . .-.- ALTIAMBEA VAUDEVILLE. Good business continues to be merited by the show offered nightly in the Alh'ambra Theatre by the band of vaudeville specialists engaged by the Fullers. Amongst the best of the turns are those by J. M. West (equilibrist), the Pcdros (Roman ring experts), Rupert Cuthbert •kflttsriptive singer), and May Dahlberg rawner). To-morrow night Alf. Holt, an American entertainer of high repute, makes his first appearance, and the other members of the company present a new programme. . - , : -,
