Fine merinoes and all croe-e-breds are firm at the same price as at the close of last sale. Inferior merinoes are Jd per lb cheaper. TTade is good and prospects favorable for crcss-breda. as supplies ■will be moderate. Large shipments of merino wools are expected from Australia. Two thousand bales of Now Zealand wool are held over. Estimated values of New Zealand wool, fifth series, held in London on October 8, were as follow :—Superior merino* 13d to 15jd; medium merino, lOjd to 12-Wl; inferior merino, 7!A to lOd; fino cross-Dreds, all. grades, to 16d; medium eroes-breds, all grades, lid to 13d ; coarse crc6s-breds, all grades, Bid to lOjd.

The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable advices regarding the closing of the present series of London colonial wool sale 6 :—"The sales have closed very firm, and prospects aro good. All descriptions of wool except merinoes, prices unchanged. The salon closed irregular for merinoes. Total quantity held over. 8.000 bales, of which I,COO bales are New Zealand."
