The Dunedin Presbytery this morning resolved to offer to Captain William Thomeon, of Port Chalmers, J heir hearty con<rrjvtiila.tioii6 upon the attainment- of his fiftieth year of service as an elder in the congregation of Port Chalmers. It was also resolved that a deputation, consisting of the Revs. J. Chi.shobn and A. Whvte ai'd Captain M'Callum, wait on Captain Thomson and convey to him the congratulations of the Presbytery. It was mentioned that in the first record of the congregation alter its disjunction from the' First Church of Ota go the. name of Captain Thomson was reiawed to in connection with his election to tho offico of deacon.
