John V. Sehapper, a, resident, of Hobsonville, was drowned in Auckland Harbor on Saturday night. The body of Patrick O'Connor was found in tho Avon at Christchurch on Saturday. Ho leaves a widow and twenty-three children. The police have been advised that Chas. Shannon, aged twenty-three, was drowned in the Manawatu River. Archie, Myers, aged thirty-two, a married man, living at Dcvonport (Auckland), died Ihis morning after taking a, Seidlitz powder. After swallowing Lho powder "Myers said it was bitter. Symptoms of strychnine poi?oning ensued. A doctor was called in, but the man died two hours later.
