YESTERDAY’S PARLIAMENT.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. It was decided to insist on the Council’s amendments to the Land lor Settlement Finance Bill. The Hons. Thompson, Camcross, Callun, and Dr Findlay were appointed managers on behalf of the Council. The following Bills were put through their final stages:—Public VVorks Act Amendment, Wellington City (Milk Supply, Wellington Harbor Board Empowering, Kaitoko Countv, Factories Act Amendment, Thermal Springs, Industrial and Conciliation Act Amendment, and Stamp Duties. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. The amendments of the Council to the Education Act Amendment Bill were agreed to. ■ Progress was reported on the Coal Mines and Mining Act Amendment Bills. / ■ ■
