In a case- in the- .Magistrate's Court in which a person taied to recover £6 CV> 9d, half tho value of a- totalizator ticket-, Mr Kctt-io, S.M., expressed tho opinion that, according (o the Gaming Act, a person requiring a totalisator ticket should take it out with his own hands, and that anyone acting us a;»cnt for such a purpose was liable'' to a fine <■!' £2O or three months' imprisonment. Apart from this, he held the eve was not proven, and nonsuited plaintiff.
