LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL,
Tho Council met at 10.30 this morning. Tho Imprest Supply Bui was passed through all stages. On tho motion of Dr Findlay it was decided that the Council should insist upon its amendments in the Dentists Amendment Bill. The Hons. Collins, Smith, and Dr Findlay were appointed a committee to draw up reasons for so doing* . , Tho Council adjourned till Monday, when local Bills received from the House will bo put through their hnal stages. , house of representatives. Tho House met at 10 a.m. . Tho Maori Herbalists and Metaphysical and Groymouth Harbor Board Loans Consolidation Amendment Bill wore road a first time. The following Bilk, passed their filial stages:—Wellington Harbor Board Linpowering, Kaitcko County. On the motion that tho Wellington- City Milk Supply Bill be read a third time Mr Russell moved that the Bill be postponed, and that tho Govemnie.*, should, during the recess, consider the advisability of introducing legislation of a progressive character applicable, as in tho case of abattoirs, to boroughs of over 2,000 inhabitants. The amendment waa lost by 39 to 27, and tho Bill passed.
The Groymouth Harbor Board Loans Consolidation Amendment Bill passed its final stages. The Houso adjourned till 10.30 a.m. on Monday.
