Tho Government claimed to have discovered a letter from tiro ex-Shah urging the Turcoman tribe to support the rebels in the Nazanderen province, and therefore resolved to cease to pay his pension.
The British and Russian Ministers then informed the Government that two legation servants would wait upon the Foreign' Minister until an instalment was paid. The servants followed the Minister everywhere for two days, and spent a night in the Minister’s private residence. The instalment was then paid.
