An international Swedenborg congress has been opend in this city. The contributors’ papers include one from Dr -ieuburger, of Vienna, and other Continental professors. There are upwards of fifty American delegates present. [The furious Dr 'Emanuel Sw-edcnborg wav. born in Stockholm on January 29, 1688, and died in London, March 29. 1772. He was engineer, scientist, philosopher, :tnd theologian, all his works being written in Latin. A year or two ago his body tv ns removed from London to Stockholm and reinterred amidst great popular demonstration. ‘‘The New Church,” which has a fairly large number of adherents in the United States is the outcome of Swedenborg's theological system.]
