Official statistics show a considerable falling off in sugar production. Tho production in 1907 amounted to 245,242 tons, against 161,253 tons last year, while the exports fell from 1,177 tons to 205 tone, and the imports increased from 6.167 tons to 99,698 tons.

There is much diversity in tho reports of the condition of the Canadian crops. ‘ Tho Times ’ says that tho rain has greatly improved the prospects in tho west, but the yield is not likolv to exceed that of last year, notwithstanding the increase in acreage.

The number of crates of rabbits exported from the State for the year ended June 30 was 568,984, 4,C00 crates below that of the previous year.

Dalgety and Co.’s wool report states that the export during the past year reached a record, the total being 2,454,643 bales, valued at £45,128,496.
THE ANTWERP WOOL SALES.

At the Antwerp wool sales there was a moderate attendance. Prices receded from five to ten centimes, and largo quantities were withdrawn. Three thousand two hundred bales of La Plata wool were offered and 488 sold.
