DREDGE ENTERPRISE

SUNK IX THE ALEXANDRA RIVER. The Enterprise dredge (wires our Alexandra South correspondent) sank last night in the centre of the river. There was no one on board at the time of the accident. The river lose last night to 13ft above normal at the Alexandra bridge—the highest recorded for some time. Hcavr rains arc iiccountable for the flood, which brought down a great deal of wood. Tho Enterprise was repairing yesterday, and flip is reported to have been all safe at twelve o'clock last night. This morning she is at the bottom of the river, with water flowing all over her.
