THE RAKANOA'S TRIP.
[Per United Pkess Association.] WELLINGTON, December 27. A seaman named Farey, while fixing relieving tackl? on Saturday night, was washed along the deck of the Rakanoa, and severely injured. Early on Sunday morning the seas threatened to break open' the door and flood the cabin. Leonard (mate) and Thomas Mat Eon; and Murray (three of the crew), while putting a sheiter over the afta.' skylight, were struck by a giant wave and wnuhed along the deck, -all sustaining somewhat severe injuries. The main cabin, officers' cabins, and lazaretto were all filled with water, and a lot of damage was don* to the fittings.
