NORTH END BOATING CLUB. Three heats of the Novae Bairs were got off last evening, awl resulted as follows: First heat: R. Rush (stroke), J. O’Sullivan (bow), 1; A. E. Payton (stroke), W. Gorman (bow), 2. Won rather easily by a length and a-half. Second heat: 0. Murphy (stroke), R. Hogg (bow), 1; J. Beardsmore (stroke), M. Barnett (bow),. 2. An even face ; Won by a length. Third heat: T. Swift (stroke); W. Jenkins (bow), 1; F. Nicol (stroke), D. B. Robertson (bow), 2. A splendidly-contested race, Swift winning after a great go by a canvas. -- The semifinal will be rowed this evening, at 6.30 sharp. Entries for the Vice-presidents’ Fours will close on Wednesday nett. TENNIS. —B Grade.— The following will represent North-east Valley in their rtiatch against the Otago on the Valley courts:—P. Grav, D. V. M'GeeVer,- J. Lemon, T. Begg, Misses E. Murray, M. Wright, B. Murray, A. Murray.
