A JUMBLE SALE
A jumble sale, the proceeds of which are to go to the school prize fund, was opened in the Moray Place School by the Hon. Thomas Fergus this afternoon. 'The various Stalls were arranged in the spacious and newly-renovated class rooms, and all were laden with articles attractive and varied. Good business was done this afternoon, and to-night a good number arc expected to be present, for numerous songs and recitations will bo given, by the children. The sale will be open to-morrow afternooh and even-
mg. Following are in charge of the stalls: Refreshments, Mrs Mitchell and Mier, Hodges; fancy work, Misses Wheeler and Smyth ; plain work, Mesdames Smyth and Stewart; produce, Mesdames. Ti’ly and Larney; flower stall, Mr I’. Stewart ; Christmas tree, Miss Rodger; book stall, Misses Stenhonso and Hartstongc; lollic stall, Mrs Forsyth ; bran tub, Mr M'Lean; art gallery, boys of Sixth Standard. The school children are also assisting in the management of the stalls.
