ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
A Hawera telegram states that George Bollond, a single man, was drowned yesterday when fording the Woingongoro River. The body has not been recovered.
Conductor Colyer, who was in charge of a tramcar leaving the Gardens this morning, slipped off the rear of the car when near the Pine Hill road, and received an injury to his head. He was removed to the hospital for treatment. A Timaru message advises that Miss Hapa, ;i resident ot Stewart Island, was thrown from a horse at Tc.nvuka yeslcrdav. She injured her head, and is| now in tile hospital, progressing favorably.
