(Received May 8, at 8-30 a.m.) Dr Richard Arthur, of Sydney, had an hour and a-quaater’s interview with Mr Burns, President of the Local Government Board. The Minister was very sympathetic, and ready to receive a deputation to suggest methods whereby Great Britain might assist emigration to Australia. - Mr Burns considens that the colonies should bear the cost of the transport of all youths that Great Britain 'rears to manhood, as when they leave Britain loses their future ectHomic value.
