As the Union usually bore some of the expense in these matters, it was recommended that cement foundations bo put in, the annual recurring cost thus being avoided.—Union prepared lo pay half-cost of nutting in the Usual boxes for keeping posts'erect. The Head Aln-ster of" Alosgiel District High School wrote objecting to rule 10 governing school football, permitting the disqualification of a boy considered to be too big, and giving reasons for his objections.—Writer to bo informed that the Union could not see their way to interfere with regulations passed by the"schools committee. If any boys were considered too nig for school football they were at- liberty lo play in fifth grade. Permission was granted the Dunedin Harriers to hold a race at Tahuna Park on -May 29 at half-1 ime. ' —Selection Committee.— Air Sincock moved that the appointment of the. .Selection Committee be left over lor a fortnight. He thought it would bo a. very good thing if the 'members of the Gonunittco were unknown to the public. Players went -eyes out” when members of the Committee were present, and did not care how they played at other times.— Air Harris supported Air Sincocks views, but doubted if the names of the Committee could bo kept secret.—The motion to defer the appointment of the Committee was carried. All flag mat dies. with the execution of fourth and fifth grade, will comnext Saturday. The draw for the season’s fixtures will be completed on Wednesday night. —Carisbi’ook Ground.— The Works Committee recommended that tho grand stand on the cast side of the Cariflbrook Ground be pulled down the iron to bo used for the fence and the limber for making additions to W’alson’s house.—The report was adopted.
