The annua! meeting of the Westralian Alliance adopted the report of its secretary, and condemned the report by Mr Carson, special commissioner, on the grounds that he did not interview the heads of the Tern ■ perance party in New Zealand. Mr Carson, in a letter to the Press, replies that he discussed the liquor question at considerable length with Mr Isitt (secretary of .the New Zealand Alliance), while the only person connected with the liquor trade whom he interviewed was Mr Williams, secretary of the Wellington Licensed Victuallers’ Association.
