BOARDING-HOUSE FIRE
FIFTY PERSONS BURNT. MANY BROKEN LIMBS. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SAN FRANCISCO, April 19. (Received April 20, at 9.10 a.m.) A wooden building, used as a boardinghouse in this city during rebuilding operations, and accommodating 300 laborers, was destroyed by fire. Two hundred of the men, leapt from the windows in night attire. Fifty of the inmates were burnt, and there are many broken limbs.
