» * There .was a record attendance on Saturday afternoon, when thirtv-five boys asat the Gardens to take .part in the j Saturday outing of the North Dunedin ; Boy Scouts. Mr R, Gilkison was in charge j of. the boys, who proceeded bv tramcar ! from the Gardens to the end of Normanby. From there they journeyed to the top of Mount Cargill, which was reached after an easy climb at 4 p.m. On arrival at the top billies were boiled, and afternoon tea was partaken of. At the conclusion three cheers were given for Mr Gilkison, after which all fires were carefully extinguished On Wednesday evening the North Dtmedin troop will hold their weekly meeting in their room in the Mission House in Frlleul street, when further instruction in knotting and lashing will be given. As instructors are urgently needed for the boys, any gentlemen willing to act as such are cordially invited to be present at this meeting _ Owing to the Easter holidays, no meetings have been held by the South Dunedin troop, but (circumstances permitting) the reopening meeting will be held in St Peter's Schoolroom in Cargill road on !
