(Received April 17, at 10.5 a.m.) / The Royal Humane Society have awarded Mrs Kennedy, the wife of a line repairer, their gold medal for conspicuous bravery in snatching a child from almost under the wheels of an engine. This is the first time the society have awarded a gold medal to a woman.
