Sir,—Comparatively few people in the Commonwealth or in New Zealand have any idea of the immense number of perse ns or their descendants who are annually being sought for by advertisement in Australian and New Zealand newspapers t •> claim moneys and estate* belonging to thnn in the United Kingdom and abroad, ()•■ for something to their advantage, and of these few a still smaller number of those beneficially interested ever have an opportunity of seeing the advertisements [>■.■ the legal notices which are from time •o time ordered to bo inserted by the Chancery Courts of England and Ireland and the Superior Courts of Scotland. Usually these appear in the 'London Gazette' nnd in many instances in Australian and New Zealand newspapers.
