He is a Tasmanian. who has never done anything bi« with, New Zealand wood.. World's Championship Chop.—D. Prettv (Hamilton) 1, S. Johnson (Gisboine) 2, G. M'Cauley (Tatunarunui) 3, E. J. Newstioskv 4. Miley struck hard wood, and was left behind. The time (4min 481 mcc) was comparatively slow, but the wood was hard. Under-hand Handicap. G. Puklowskv (30soc) 1, G. Jolly (40sec) 2. J. Deal (35ssc> 5, J. Deagan (25sec) 4. Time, lmin 19isec.
