Visiting shooting teams from the Alexandra Rifles and the Bannookburn Rlfla Club fired a triangular match with the Port Chalmers Navals on Boxing morning. The match proved very interesting aqd. exciting. The fact that, this was the first time that the visitors had fired across % water range was probably the cause of the Port Navals winning, the result being that Port was 26 points ahead of Alexandra, and Alexandra 3 points ahead of Bannockbum. After the match the Port Navals in their naval pinnaces took the visitors over to Portobello, where they had lunch at the hotel. Returning, to Port Chalmers, the visitors were shown over H M.S. Pioneer and taken on board the flagship to witness the regatta.
