THE TOWNS-BARRY MATCH. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, October 25. (Received October 26, at 8.25 a.m.) Mr J. Pitman, ex-amateur champion, presented to Ernest Barry the ‘ Sportsman’s’ cup and medal in the presence of a crowded and enthusiastic meeting at the Hammersmith Town Hall, tho mayor presiding. Towns, who received a cordial reception, suggested that Barry should make a trip to Australia to meet some of the local men before sculling for tho championship of the world.
