AN ISLAND MURDER
SETTLER AND TWO DAUGHTERS MASSACRED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 23. Advices from Noumea state that a vessel from the New Hebrides reports that the natives on Santo Island massacred Mr Peter Greig and his two daughters, aged sixteen and seventeen years respectively. Mr Greig was one of a number of whites who have acquired blocks of land on the island.
