ACCESS TO THE FORESHORE.
TO Till", EDITOR. I Sir,—All tIKISQ havo e welfare of I Dunedin at heart will congratulate Cr Buraett on his motion. I would suggest | that the mayor, Cra Burnett and Barr, Mr Blair Mason, and a representative of the Press meet and discuss the question, so as to have something definite to place' before the members of Parliament. Do you think it would be possible, now that they are duplicating the line, to alter the cross"mg and take the main track past the sta-tion-master's house, join on to the present coal siding, and ran along the foreshore to the Anderson Bay bridge, the City Council to hnnd over 'to tho Bnjlv- a - ijg. partment the east side of Cumb«rlnnd street from Pattray street to Anderson Bay road? Part of this could be used for coal sidings and the balance for goods sheds. This would reduce the traffic over the crossing by one-half. In discussing the crossing I hope they will not lose sight of the overbridge at Stuart street.—l am, etc., A Woboian. i June 19. •
