GOVERNMENT OYSTERS.
[Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 4. The demand for the oystens on Saturday exceeded the supply. Shortly after noou the whole of the oysters received by the Government depot were sold, and at an early hour in the evening it was impos ib!e to obtain a bottle. They were «>ld retail at 2s. The supplies to-day are expected to equal the trade demand.
