ATHENAEUM. , The monthly meeting of the Athenaeum Committee was held last night, and attended by Messrs Hutchison (in the chair|, Whitson, Angus, Salmond, James, Marshall, MacGregor. Jeans, and Burton. It was reported that 166 volumes had been added to the library since last meeting, making the total number of accessions since the beginning of the year 344. Fiftyseven new members had joined the institution during the month, and thirty-seven old ones had terminated their subscriptions. The revenue for the period ending April 11 showed an increase of over £4O as compared with the corresponding period of last year. ST KILDA SUNDAY SCHOOL. A pretty entertainment entitled ' A Harvest Field under Limelight ' was .given in the South Dunedin Town Hail last evening by the scholars of the St. Kilda Methodist Sunday School. The stage was appropriately mounted as a harvest field, in which the juvenile performers presented a programme of recitations and action songs under colored lights. The entertainment- was a novel one, and was much appreciated by a large audience. The proceeds were in aid of anew Sunday school building. OTAGO KARLY SETTLERS' ASSOCIATION. A committee meeting, held in tlie Board Room. Marly Settlors' Hall, yesterday afternoon, was attended by Messrs Donald Hcid (in the clwir), John Bcid. Duke, Barrow, Brehner.
