The Caledonian Bowling Club intend to celebrate the diamond jubilee on Monday by holding a progressive doubles tournament. Fully fifty or sixty playing members are expected to take part. The Jack will be thrown at 9 a.m. sharp. CRICKET. Union Steam Ship Company meet Bank of New Zealand at Carisbrook on Mondaymorning. The weather cleared sufficiently tine morning to allow of the swimming championships being proceeded with. The water was a bit choppy. Results : 220 Yards Breast Strobe Championship. —A. M. Russell (Sydenham) 1, G. L. Bull (St. Albans) 2, F. Trnsoott (Christchurch, last year’s champion) 3. Won by 4ft. Time, 3min 17isec. 100 Yards Championship.—Champioii (Auckland) 1, Freyburg (Wellington) 2, Daw sop (Otago) 3. Wop by four yards. Freyburg swam outside the flags. Time, Imin 13sec. JSO Yards Championship.—Champion (Auckland) 1. Freyburg (Wellington) 2, Rich (Canterbury) 3. Won by twenty yards. Time, 15min ,4sec.
