Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under Overland, Northern peats, Christchurch, and intermediate offices, daily, 6.50 a.m. Cate letters 7.40; also on the mail van up to 8 a.m. For second express for Palmerston, Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton, Christchurch, at 12.45 p.m. For Groymonth, Hokitika, and Ecefton, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 12.45 p.m. For South express trams at 7.30 a-m. tnd 5 p.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to Ihe ordinary postage, Id. THURSDAY, JANUARY 10. For Lyttelton and Christchurch. —Per SVarrimoo, at 1.30 p.m. Late letters pianTs van. Port train. 2.50. FRIDAY, JANUARY 11. For Australian States.—Per North express (to connect with the Warrimoo at Wellington), at 6.30 a.m. Late letters 7.40, also on the mail van up to 8 a.m. Money orders close at 4 and registered letters -at 5 p.m. on the 10th. BAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9. Supplementary mails for America, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, etc., will close at 6.30 a-m. Late-fee letters at the C.P.O. at 7.40 a.m., and North express at 8.5 a-m. The .above mail will be due in London on the 9th February. The Kaipana will leave Wellington for London on the 9th January at 1 p.m., via Monte Video and Teoeriffo. Mails for Cromarty, Puysegnr Point, To Oneroa, Dusky and Milford Sounds, per Rlmu, close at Invercargill on (ho 10th at 8 a.m. Mails from Melbourne for Durban and Cape Town, per Marathon, 16th January, via Fremantle; Soevic, 2nd February, via Albany; Salamis, 9th February, via Fremantle.
