Lonsdale regarding the application of tho Australian States for admission, at tho Colonial Conference, declared that tho Government ■wore unable to reconsider theiT decision—viz., that the Conference most bo constituted the earn© as in 1902. The Com&cence itself must decide tho question of tho inclusion of representatives of the State Governments. There was no likelihood of the Conference passing a resolution appertain ing to the rights of State Governments. LORD LOREBURN'S SPEECH. LOSDOK, December 22. Tho Speech regretted that there had been no settlement of difficulties surrounding the education question. 'THE IRISH BILL. LONDON, December 22. The Dublin correspondent of ' 'The 'Panes' reports that Sir Antony MacDonnell will succeed the Hon. J. Brvco as pilot of tho Irish Bill.
