Wheat.—Prime millinj; lme.s have more attention, and are readily saleable at late quotations. In most casas holders of prime lots arc not disposed to accept ruling values. Medium quality is unchanged. Fowl wlieat is- scarce, and has good inquiry both locally and for export. We quote: Prime mltllinsr, 3s 4d to 3s 5d ; medium to good. 3s 2d to 3s 3jd : whole fowl wheat. 3s to 3s Id ; broken and damaged, 2s 9d to 2» lid per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.-—Onr catalogue contained only one lot of Auckland kidneys, for which there was poor competition at £8 per ton (bags extra). Chaff. —Tbc market has been poorly supplied with good to prime quality. Medium and inferior quality is .still offering ex *tnre, but has little' attention, tho demand being almost entirely for prime. Wo submitted, several tracks of bright oaten sheaf, which were well competed for, and Bold at an advance on late values. For otber sorts there was no change. We quote: Beit oaten sheaf, £4 5s to £4 10s ; medium to good, £3 10s to £4; light and inferior. £3 to £3 5s per ton (bags extra). Tho cheese market is steady, but without animation. There is fair demand for belter grades. New Zealand cheeso is quote'l at 60s per cwt. The hemp market is quiet, wit-h little doing, but a good feelin!; prevails. Gool fair grade, on ibe spot, is quoted at £SB. and the January-March, shipment at £57 per ton. Fair current Manila, on tho spot is quoted at £42 por ton. Tho cocksfoot market is firm, but there is little doing. Bright 171b seed Je -quoted at 47s per cwt. Tho wool market is firm, with an upward tendency.
