Messrs T. E. Shiel and Co. report as follow :—We have experienced a very active week, so far as fruit business is concerned prices in most lines being extremely good. Aoricots, from Melbourne, realised up to 24s case; peaches, 10a 9d per case; cherries, 25s per crate; New Zealand-grown dessert plums, up to 12s 3d box. Local strawberries ha-ve been sold up to 2s lb. These prices must be very satisfactory to senders. Tho market is bare., and it

looks as though prices wilt continue good for softie time. PROPERTY SALES. Messrs James Samson and Co. report having sold, on account of Mr William Anderson, his freehold sections, facing tho Main road and Douglas terrace, Township of Dalkeith, North-east Valley, to Mr Brownlie, for £225. Section 9, block P Millar street, Glenroy township, North-east Valley, 40ft x 112 ft, with a modern four-roomed verandah dwelling, bathroom, washhouse, with tubs, boiler, and outhouses thereon, was sold to Mr Aaron Wills for £390. James Samson and Co., acting under instructions from the Port Chalmers Corporation, offered at the rooms to-day leasehold farm, section 31. block 4, North Harbor and BluesHu District, consisting of 56 acres 1 rood 3o notes, for a term •■£ fourteen years, from December 30, 1906. The above property was lately held by Mr Charles Cassey, and was sold to-dav to Mr Howman. The upset was 8s an acre, and after keen competition it reached 11s an acre.
