Hie Executive of the Reception Committee in connection with the forthcoming presentation to the Premier, Sir J. G. Ward, held a large and enthusiastic meeting last evening. Sub-committees submitted their reports, which were in every case adopted. Arrangement a arc now well forward, and there is every indication of an exceedingly successful gathering at| the public meeting to be held in the Garrison Hall on the 18th of January. Besides the speeches proper to such aq occasion a musical programme will be presented, and as all classes of the coirimunitv are taking the matter up the Premier will meet with, aa enviable reception. 1
